New Genesis is a committed group of local volunteers, backed by professionals and a dedicated board of directors.
We offer our clients:
- An initial residential treatment program to evaluate and address the specific causes of each individuals homelessness.*
- Job placement assistance
- Counseling, group therapy and life skills classes
- An after-care / transitional housing program that allows residents to move into apartments sub-leased to them through New Genesis.
Our clients are required to:
- Remain substance-free
- Hold a full-time job
- Contribute to New Genesis by mentoring new residents, participating in domestic chores and paying fees for services provided to them.
On May 1, 2007 a partnership was formed with Clark County and two facilities were secured to provide low cost housing to people seeking independence. New Genesis currently has 51 men and women involved in this program. We continue our award winning Aftercare/Transitional Housing Program that has grown to two dozen men and women.
